Mother
nature did not cooperate for the third
and fourth rounds of the Winter Heat at
Charlotte Motor Speedway this past weekend.
We were hoping for three good days of
driving and only ended up with one.
Rain
stopped the practice on Friday. Saturday
was more rain and we opted to not race
and save the car for Sunday.
Sunday
was very cold but at least dry. There
were 16 cars entered for the Semi-Pro
Division.
After
pulling the highest pill and starting
last, Justin was able to come away with
a 9th place finish. Not bad for only one
full practice run the entire weekend.
During
most of the feature race, Justin ran closely
with #18 and #38. These three cars, however,
were hampered by #44 who had been black
flagged but decided to ignore the officials
and continue racing until the end.
Even
having to contend with the #44 in the
mix, Justin did manage to pull ahead of
the #18 and #38 for a short time.
#99
keeps getting better on the track -- hoping
for a full day of practice this Friday
before the race on Saturday.
